How to protect object from accidental deletion

Hello All,

Hope this post finds you in good health and spirit.

How to protect object from accidental deletion

This post is regarding, how we can protect AD objects from accidental deletion means some time object got deleted by mistakenly or some other tools which we don’t want to delete from Active directory. To void these things, we enable the protect object from accidental deletion from object property.

Please proceed like the following:

  1. Run dsa.msc
  2. Click on View then click on Advanced features
  3. Right-click on the OU and select Object tab
  4. Check the option Protect object from accidental deletion
  5. Now your AD object is protected from accidental deletion and these objects will not deleted until we removes the accidental deletion checkout box from property of object.

Remark: If this OU has AD objects under it, you will not be able to remove it if one of the objects is protected against accidental deletion.

So, that’s all in this blog. I will meet you soon with some other stuff. Have a nice day !!!
